Here I sit, at nearly three-thirty in the morning. Being awake at this time of day has become somewhat routine of late, but the not-being-in-bed is new.
My lower esophageal sphincter isn't exactly doing its job. I've had a couple of throw-up-in-my-mouth moments over the last couple of days (intended burps)...and tonight, as I lay in bed listening to the gurgles coming out of my throat and mouth, and felt each burp turn into a rush of burning pain in my esophagus, I decided to bring myself upright. Ah, relief...to an extent.
Thanks, Progesterone! :-D

sorry KB. it does get better and then unfortunately it gets worse around 33 weeks. at least it did for me.
ReplyDeleteI inhaled tums, the added calcium is a bonus.
I fel like crap too. I am so nautious - the only way to make it go away is to eat every hour - so I am trying to eat fruit so I don't blow up like a balloon during this next 8 months. Also, headache for the last 3 days. I read somewhere that if you got migraines before being pg then you will get them worse when you are pg. They are right. And it sucks that all I can take is Tylenol. Which doesn't work. Ugh. So all I do is sleep, work and sleep. I really hope it gets better!
ReplyDeleteI too have the heartburn. Not all the time, but here and there. I have had no nausea though!! I would really like some symptoms!!! Everyone keeps telling me to be careful what i wish for, but i just wanna feel pregnant!!!!
ReplyDeleteJPS-how far along are you?
Yeah Golde, it would be nice to have some symptoms that can't be explained by the Endometrin (or PIO for some of you.) I'm not nauseous either...or exhausted. LOL...listen to what we're complaining about!
ReplyDeleteThe headaches sound horrible JPS! I've had migraines in my life, but not on a really regular basis. So sorry you're suffering headaches. =(
girls don't worry about not having symptoms. The only ones I had were the reflux/heartburn (and that was from eating like a cow).
ReplyDeleteI gained 53lbs w/noah. At every checkup the DR would give me "the talk" about my weight. And I'd cry my eyes out!
But, don't even worry about the weight. I lost it all from breastfeeding, still have never gone to the gym since before I was preggo.
Shaw, thanks for all the encouragement - you're awesome! <3

No fun at all! I don't have a refulx problem but my PIO causes serious night sweats!! I'm constantly waking up in the middle of the night because of it. Maybe I'll see you on here one morning around 3. ;o)
ReplyDeleteBeka,
ReplyDeleteWhen I did PIO with the first cycle, I totally had night sweats. SO horrible! I feel for you. I think I might actually prefer the acid reflux. I haven't had even one night sweat with the Endometrin, so that's awesome.
