Cramping..?

3dp6dt and I've been cramping off and on since yesterday. Sometimes I feel like it's a good thing, other times I feel like it's AF. Since I'm on PIO and AF would be due about today, maybe it is AF and the PIO is keeping her from showing up? Ughhhh.. I hate this. I know this question is always asked, but for all you preggo's is cramping normal around the time AF would be here? It feels like the dull cramp that (in a non IVF cycle) would need to be medicated before it gets out of hand, followed by heavy bleeding. I don't know what to think!!

  1. i didnt really have any cramping except at night that woke me up out of a dead sleep and was accompanied by a wicked dream about being tied down and having my cervix sewn shut with no sedation. It was very weird, but that was my only cramping experience. When is your beta?

  2. that's the thing about cramping - it could mean so many things that you can't really take it as much of a sign. there are people who cramped a lot and got a BFP, and there are just as many people who didn't cramp at all and got a BFP. are you having spotting as well?

  3. It seems like it could be good, Kelsey. I started off on PIO in my first (failed) cycle and switched to Endometrin 10 days in. I didn't feel anything until 1 or 2 days before beta (which was 14dp5dt) and my period started the night before beta, despite the progesterone. The timing seems like it's not crazy to think it could be implantation. :)

  4. Haven't been spotting at all. I keep waiting for it, but nothing. I hope it's a good sign, but cramping always seems to mean AF!

  5. Kelsey, I started cramping about 3dp3dt and cramped all the way through beta, the evening before beta it got really bad, so I finally went and poas'd and it was a BFP.

  6. I cramped on and off in my 2ww on my failed IVF cycle when I was on the progesterone pessary.

This time (still waiting for result) FET I have had nothing. Maybe once or twice a twinge/little cramp but that could be gas?

I had a small (very small) bit of browny discharge yesterday morning that went in an hour. So that was 10dp2dt. But then I had that (a little bit more though) last month (natural cycle) and still a BFN.

The only sign I think I would believe is the sky parting and God's voice booming out from behind a cloud telling me I am pregnant!

  8. Alright so I confess I have poas twice. Yesterday was a faint positive. And today was also a faint positive. Just guarded as I know it could be a false positive. Today is 11dp2dt.

I have been on our drug web called EMIMS. Its what we use in Aus to look up drugs. It says the half life of the drug is 33 hours. So of course I have had my calculator out and today there would be about 90 units of HCG in my system. So I am not sure if this is enough to cause a false positive.

  9. Just looked up the hpt sensitivity and it picks up 25 mIU of HCG. So I may very well have a false positive.... Argh...

  10. Oh Summer.. I hope it's not a false positive. Your beta's tomorrow? I'm praying so hard for you!!

Well I'm off to get labs drawn - progesterone and estradiol. Does anyone else get these done routinely after transfer? I never hear anyone talk about it.

  12. kels-I have never had that monitored before a bfp, but i have heard of clinics doing it to make sure you have enough of them to support a pregnancy.

  13. Yeah Kelsey - my clinic gets those levels one week after transfer. (If you're doing Endometrin instead of PIO, then just the E2.)

  14. I always get those levels done 1 week after transfer.
