Hi!! Thanks so much for asking. Things for me are going good. I'm 11 weeks today and so excited to be almost done with the first trimester. I have my NTscan and first obgyn appointment on Monday. It still doesn't seem real although my expanding ass tells me otherwise!
I've been quietly updating my status on the "What's Your Status?" page here on the blog. (Link in the left column under the "Pages" heading.)
I had my 4th US on Tuesday and everything looked pretty good. The 2 blobs, which morphed into humanoid marshmallow peeps in the 2 weeks between US 3 & 4, are still kicking...literally, we could see them move on the US. They started out measuring 6 days apart, and now are measuring just 3 days apart.
I had my last appt at the IF clinic and have an appt with my regular doctor next Tuesday. At next week's appt, I'll be about 11.5 wks.
I will be 11 weeks tomorrow, so HRD and I are right in line with each other. I had my first ob/gyn appt last Monday and it was so refreshing, because my ob/gyn was literally bouncing up and down in his chair, saying he was so excited for me. It's quite different from the "cautiously optimistic" party line from the RE's. Of course, I totally understand where the RE is coming from; I just mean it's nice to get a break from the constant worry.
Now I'm worrying about Downs.
I did get laid off today, though. It was a total shock; I was not expecting it at all. I'm not sure what I'm going to do. It's rather awkward to job-search while pregnant. Not that there are many jobs out there, anyway.
LAP its amazing to move to ob/gyn! congrats! I am so sorry for your job. At least you hv your pregnancy to look forward too. It is indeed difficult to job hunt while pregnant coz employers know you will soon go on maternity leave...
curious-thanks for checking in! I will be 12 weeks monday. I just had my 3rd u/s yesterday and everything is looking good (knock on wood). We could even see the baby's little alien face on the screen. I took the plunge and announced the news to the general public today!
I just had my final u/s at the RE's office today. Still 2 blobs with heartbeats. I am 8w3d today, they measured 8w1d and 8w0d. They have different placentas and sacs, so they are fraternal. I only had two fertilized eggs to begin with, so I'm still in shock. All is well for now.
we had our last u/s w/RE today too. still FOUR blobs. crazy. it was a really quick scan today...no frills...no calculating heartrates or anything. but they all seem to be measuring fine. moving around. we have NT 3/31 and prob. decreasing to twins 4/7. sad, but medically necessary. we are 10w1d. i still can't believe that and none of it seems real, especially being that they're in someone else. it's almost unbelievable that we're doing this and that my sister agreed to it and we got thru all that lawyer crap, etc. so surreal.

So glad to hear your progress. Its great to hear success of those who have been in same boat as me... gives me so much hope.

SillyDotty - wow only 2 and both took!! What was your diagnosis earlier?
bbchi - surreal indeed! you have come a long way. So sorry that you have to decrease... I know its a hard decision. Its unbelievable that 4 took...you didn't even take DE or DS... why wouldn't they take when you tried? There will always be some answered questions... best part is that its working now!

Oh KB, how lovely. It gives me hope! Its amazing that the little one has caught up on 3 days!
