Well, I went home, had a psychotic breakdown, ate half a loaf of bread, two cookies, and a huge plate of spaghetti and meatballs, topped off with cake and ice cream (I'm not a food addict or anything), and felt better. I actually went through a few minutes where I was ready to call my RE and tell him to stuff my eggs up his ass, but I figured that definitely wouldn't get me a BFP. I'm just going to go to my transfer tomorrow and ask that they put all five in. I can't go through another cycle. Progesterone turns me into a raving lunatic, and my retarded embryos will most likely die in a thaw, anyway. (That would really send me over the edge.)
Wow...with ICSI? I was wondering about that- didn't want to ask because it might sound like I was suggesting you should've done ICSI. There had better be some good explanation! Can you speak with the embryologist?
Babywarrior - I am so sorry. That blows. I got a visual of you stuffing eggs up my RE's ass('cause I don't know what yours looks like! lol) I chuckled out loud at my desk. You did me proud on your food bingeing. We could totally hang. :) I hope they do let you put 5 in tomorrow. Keep us posted.
Okay, so I have an update: The lab called back and said there were a few mature ones they kept around because sometimes they can't spot the fertilization right away... And.... Five of those fertilized! They just couldn't see it yesterday! So I have 10 to work with! Now I feel even more like an insane person, because now I am happy. Oh, Lord. Please get me off of this roller-coaster. It's really not a fun one.
They would only transfer 2-even with three failures! I think they just want me to give them more money. Hate this place. So I have 2 8A embryos in me and I am waiting to be released.
WTF? That's lame!!! I can't believe they wouldn't give you even 3 of YOUR OWN embryos back. A-HOLES! Well, hope your blobs stick around...that's about all I can say.
BW, did you post from your RE's office right after transfer?!? That's insane! I was so groggy from the meds I could barely stay awake! Sooo glad you got 10 instead of 5, exciting!
Erica- They gave you meds for transfer? Maybe that's my problem: They don't give me any of the good shit! And, yes, it is lame that they wouldn't give me more than 2 of my embies. Damn Octowhore ruined it for everyone!
