This blog is a haven for practical, realistic, sharp-witted girls who have grown weary of unicorn-riding, rainbow-kissing, "babydust"-spewing nitwits.
In Feb of 2010, the girls were attacked by a vicious monster, wielding the powerful Club of Censorship. Their collective strength could not be denied and they soon reconvened...with a wit more biting, a resolve more steadfast, and a powerful weapon of their own: Freedom of Speech!
Welcome to OUR shiny, new blog.
Newbies Welcome!
I cannot do it either :(
ReplyDeleteOh, good. I don't feel so stupid. Someone please come to our rescue! Bloggers in distress, here!!
ReplyDeleteOk, so...When you go to the main page there is a pale pink bar that says "Disccusions" in black on the left side. That bar is in the middle of the page. On the right side of that bar is a gray button that says "+ new post"...click that if you want to start your own thread.
ReplyDeleteIf you want to reply to a thread, the place to click reply is very small...and I forgot where it was yesterday and had to search around for it (I usually respond via email.) Each post within a discussion has a box around it. In the lower left corner of each box you will find a place to click "Reply." Now...if you don't want to post with all the text from the previous message, you'll need to select it all and delete it cuz it goes into your post as a quote automatically.
Hope this is the info you needed! :D
Also, you can subscribe to the group and have the new messages sent to you via email. This is especially awesome if you have a Gmail account. (If you don't you should really think about getting one, even if it's just for blog/group updates.)
ReplyDeleteYou can also subscribe to threads on the blog and have new messages sent to you via email. Click on the comments, and just below the comment box on the right side is a blue link "Subscribe by email". (You must be signed in to do this.) You'll have to subscribe individually to the blog posts you want to follow, but it makes keeping up with everything SO much easier!
If you set up a gmail account, all your problems will be solved. Once again, everyone repeat after me: "I will no longer use archaic email accounts such as aol, yahoo, roadrunner, or (gasp!) juno. If I want my life to be easier, and if I want to easily keep up with threads on the google group, I will use a gmail account."
ReplyDeleteAfter you set up a gmail account, you can view / reply to threads directly from your email inbox. You'll just still have to go to the google group site if you wanna read all the stuff from before you joined us (you know, like when we tore Dave's ass apart, informed everyone of how teeny his dick is, etc etc.)
The + new post button isn't on mine!! There is a + add page button next to information pages, but nothing next to discussions. There also isn't a reply button on each discussion.
ReplyDeleteWas I accidently not given rights to post or something?
I posted to the group about this problem. It is very confusing and frustrating...I don't like not being able to solve things. Grrrrr!
ReplyDeleteIt's okay... I'm sure it will resolve. I am having fun reading. Wish I could post, though.
ReplyDeleteWarrior -- it states that your verizon.net email address is non-verified -- that's why you're not allowed to post. (???)
ReplyDeleteKrissy -- your settings seem to be fine, so not sure why you can't find the link to post. Dare i suggest you set up a gmail account?
Non-verified??? Was I supposed to send a confirmation e-mail or something?
ReplyDeletePlease don't bite me...but....I don't even know how to get to the group. I only come here :(
ReplyDeleteI got on! I ended up just making a gmail (thanks mango).
