WLB 3/23 ...

I think we should call our posts the IVF 20 ... LOL... I still love that! How's everyone doing? I seem to have hit a plateau at -7 lbs. That's ok though. I dropped those quick... now the real work starts!

I've been slowly loosing motivation the past few days... so this morning I was quite brutal with myself. I tried on the bikini I hope to wear on the cruise in May. It's not new, but it's a couple years old & a couple pounds ago... So, I'm back to being motivated. It wasn't a pretty picture. I also called my RE & told her that we'll be doing our last try starting the end of May (when we return). So, there's a little extra motivation to throw in there.

  1. After losing 4 lbs from my all time high, I stepped on the scale this morning and am back up 3. Arghh! I've been traveling alot the past week and haven't had time to exercise...but it is just so frustrating! Tonight for dinner I had a sweet potato, tomatoes, and snow peas (okay and a little butter for the potato) after working out for an hour. So I'm trying to get back on the program, but I have to travel again later this week. How can it go up so quickly and come down so slowly!!!????

  2. That's so frustrating! But hey... remember that your body can fluctuate up to 2lbs during a day. So, maybe you only put on 1 lb. Just a thought! :-)

  4. After working out 4 days last week and sort of watching my eating...I gained a pound! But I'm hoping I can blame AF for that, I'm supposed to start any time now.

  5. So, I have been super motivated since my SIL announced baby #2 is on the way this past Friday. I have to do everything I can to give myself the best chance. I have been eating 1200-1400 cals per day and working out. My cals might be a bit low, but I'll adjust I guess. I am down 5lbs since Friday night, but keep in mind I weighed myself after eating 1/2 a large tub o' buttery popcorn and chocolate kisses at the movies. Thought I would barf. So, doing okay. Working out in some capacity every day too. My goal is to lose 12-15 lbs by the time of my transfer which will hopefully be the end of April. That's a total of 5 weeks so a little over 2lbs per week. I hope I can do it!

  6. Did anyone see the article on CNN.com yesterday about exercising & weight loss? Basically, they followed a bunch of women that ate normally but exercised. The only group that didn't GAIN weight as they aged was the one that did moderate exercise for like 45 mins - 1 hour EVERY day. And mind you... they didn't loose weight. They just didn't gain. Basically, from what I can gather, they found that if you want to loose weight, you have to diet. Ugh. And I was trying to justify just working out extra hard & eating my nummy snacks.

    Last day of SB phase 1 for me. Phase 2 starts tomorrow so I can start phasing back in fruits & whole grains slowly. I'm also going to start hitting the gym on Friday. I've been working out 30 mins of cardio at home every day, but I think it's time to step that up!

    baby bump - I know what you mean! I've been at this wall for almost a week now. I just keep telling myself that as I work out, I burn fat & build muscle. Muscle burns fat. So, we may plateau now, but it'll start coming off soon! If it doesn't, I'll split a dozen cookies with ya!

    BabytoB - Definitely AF. I always put on a couple of pounds right before. Don't worry about it! After AF, weigh yourself again & I bet you'll be down again.

    rie - Isn't it a kick in the @$$ when you have prego's around you. Sounds like your goal is about like mine. Overall, 20 lbs over 9 weeks... so just over 2 lbs a week. It feels like I'm not going fast enough!

    Ok... Wow. I think I'm farting rainbows today. I'll cut that out now.

  7. I have to confess I haven't been doing that well. I weighed myself on Sunday and was still at my same weight...I am still trying to eat well and work out but I have been cheating a lot. At least I didn't gain I guess :(

    Really need to get into gear!!
