I am starting on my new IVF cycle! Without my blasted period! The doc scanned me and did b/w and u/s, and decided I could start on the bcp as my body is still all sorts of confused from my canceled cycle. The good news is no cysts!
So here I am. I will be on bcp until 5/7. (Anyone else cycling any time near then?) And hopefully will be able to start stims on 5/10...
I will be doing the Antagonist cycle for the first time. I also will be using only Menopur as a stim, which is new and different.
Feeling nauseated and cursing the bcp, but only a tiny bit, as they are a means to an end.
I have a little bit of hope, but you know, it's not like I am shopping for onesies or anything.

Congrats GC. Watch out for that Menopur..it's a little sting-y going in. Glad to hear you're a go and changing things up a bit this time. Good luck!
ReplyDeletebbchi- Thanks! I have taken the Menopur before, and I agree it stings like a bitch when it goes in. I can't believe I am only on Menopur this time, but I guess it's less shots for me.
ReplyDeleteI'll be starting Lupron May 5th for an FET cycle. Should have my transfer sometime in the 2nd week of June. Sounds like you'll be a few weeks before me. Good luck!

I am hoping I will be starting around the same date as you but all depends on outcome of op tomorrow. I have never done the bcp cycle. I have always jumped straight into stimming. I worry if they put me on bcp I will go psycho. I remember once being on bcp and I felt like I wanted to smack everyone in the face. Went back to the GP and sure enough I was told many people experiece anger on the brand I was on! Wonder if it would have stood up in court if I acctually assaulted someone?
Op tomorrow and I am hoping nothing is found. My faith is on the low side though. I just hope they don't wipe off my clitoris thinking it is an abnormal growth or a cyst!!!
I had a dream last night I was carrying sextuplets!! Whoa hoa. But then I needed a poo and was scared if I pushed out a poo I would push out a baby too. Weird....
hi there - greetings from iclw! just wanted to wish you *lotsa luck* on this next ivf round. i hope it ends with a bfp for you, so *fingers crossed*. i did gonal-f for my 1st ivf, but bc of egg quality issues, we're switching up to menopur for the next round. i'll be keeping tabs, so hope to hear good news soon :o)
ReplyDeletewow, i didn't realize you had the immature eggie thing going on too. how traumatizing is it to go through all of this, and be told that most/all your eggs are immature?!!! our RE's must be on the same wave length with the menopur suggestion, so here's to hoping that'll do the trick for both of us. i'm getting antsy that i'm not doing ivf till july bc work is so busy until then, so i'll have to live vicariously through you :o)

We are doing a fresh IVF cycle even though we have 1 frozen embryo seen as we want to be doing 2 embryo transfers from now on.
I'll keep you updated on my dates.
